Prospect Park 2020 is a project undertaken by the Prospect Park East River Improvement Association (PPERRIA) to facilitate planning in the area surrounding the neighborhood's future light rail station and along University Avenue. The charge is to craft a predevelopment framework through the hands-on involvement of business/landowners and the community as well as interested partners and investors. That framework will maximize the potential of the area in alignment with the community vision for a diverse, affordable, walkable and connected mixed-use transit-oriented urban center.
