Carol Swenson is the Executive Director of the District Councils Collaborative of Saint Paul and Minneapolis. She has a M.A. in geography from the University of Minnesota and is a former senior research fellow and interim director of the University of Minnesota Design Center for American Urban Landscape (now the Metropolitan Design Center). While at the Design Center, Swenson investigated transit-oriented development in a variety of urban settings and scales, authored a number of research papers and reports, and co-authored with Fred Dock “Planning the Transit District” in Developing Around Transit, a publication of the Urban Land Institute.
Kjensmo Walker is the Administrative Assistant for the District Councils Collaborative of Saint Paul and Minneapolis. She has a B.S. in Urban Studies from the University of Minnesota. Walker has worked with the District Councils Collaborative of Saint Paul and Minneapolis on two previous projects. Her interests include transportation, policy, and community engagement. Walker moved to the Central Corridor in 2011 and is looking forward to the opening of the Green Line!
