CACC Work Groups
Five issue work groups have been established to research issues and craft community agreement proposals for review and adoption by the CACC:
Neighborhood Livability and Transportation Equity
Meets every 3rd Wednesday of the month from 5 pm to 6:30 pm
Issue focuses:
- Pedestrian Real Study
- Re-Programming University 2 vs. 4 lanes
- Station Naming
- Contingency Funds
Affordable Housing and Equitable Development
Meets every 2nd Monday of the month from 7 pm to 8:30 pm
Issue Focuses:
- Increasing City of Saint Paul targets for new affordable housing. (e.g. 37% or 50%)
- Ensuring the replacement of demolished and expired Section 8 affordable housing units on or near the corridor
- Advocating for financial support should be provided to homeowners and renters threatened by increases in property taxes/rent
- Supporting efforts to provide protection against gentrification to low-income homeowners and renters.
LRT Construction and Communications
Meets every 3rd Thursday of the month from 5 pm to 6:30 pm.
Issue Focuses:
- Advocating and investigating the creation and maintenance of jobs in the communities along the Corridor
- DBE/AA Workforce Monitoring
- Construction Communication with Residents and Businesses
Business Concerns and Economic Development
