CACC
The mission of the CACC is to ensure equitable community benefits for stakeholders along the Central Corridor through an inclusive process that is transparent and accountable to corridor stakeholders. The goal is to create agreements that address community needs, with clear expectations, standards and measurable results, real accountability, meaningful implementation, and ongoing monitoring of progress toward CACC objectives.
The Community Agreements Coordinating Committee (CACC) was formed in March 2010, based on ideas generated at a Community Summit held in March 2009 and principles and objectives set forth in a Community Statement produced in July 2009.
CACC membership provides for 10 seats for public officials and 20 seats for community and business representatives from both Saint Paul and Minneapolis, representing a diverse set of opinions and interests.

Five Issue Work Groups have been established to research issues and craft community agreement proposals for review and adoption by the CACC:
Business Concerns and Economic Development
Affordable Housing and Equitable Development
Neighborhood Livability and Transportation Equity
LRT Construction and Communications
Community Engagement
The initial focus of the Work Groups is to address the most urgent priority issues such as Construction Planning and Communications, Workforce Training and Hiring, Small Business Survival, and Safety and Access including crime prevention at LRT stations. Several drafts of Community Agreement Proposals have come forward for input and review by the CACC, and additional research is moving forward to gather information and explore options for feasibility and funding. In addition, the Construction, Business and Community Engagement Work Groups are partnering to plan a Community Forum on Jobs, both for LRT construction and for future development along the central corridor, to be held in early 2011.
